The wedding season is definitely here! And we can finally celebrate these magical moments with family and friends. It was time for the newlyweds to be able to celebrate their union. For this occasion, we bring out our most beautiful costumes, or we will have fun by finding the one we need for this beautiful celebration. But the real dilemma arrives! Dress shoes or sneakers? If the context allows it, and the spirit of the wedding is rather relaxed, the pair of sneakers is possible, still it is necessary not to be mistaken of model! You know me now, and you know my love for basketball. Obviously, for such an occasion, I recommend a nice pair of sneakers. The perfect cocktail is certainly the following:white basketball suit . The basketball suit combo is also something very trendy. Moreover, this is also the case for the costumes that we wear to go to the office. Here is a small selection of sneakers , white or not, that we could wear with a suit:
A sneaker dressed with the comfort of a pair of running shoes ! This is the promise of Rudy’s and their model Nova. The latter has a very casual chic look that goes very well with a beautiful suit. Plus, navy blue and white are colors that work great with this style of dress! And the Nova has a lot of advantages for wedding type events or a big chic party! A flexible and comfortable EVA sole, perfect for dancing until the end of the night! A rod with waterproof cordura fabric, to fight against the buddy who could spill his glass! Both assembled in Strobel assembly for maximum robustness. Everything is made in Portugal, priced at 89 €!
Minimalist and efficient! This is how we can define the Essential Sneaker from Artisan Lab. Regardless of our costume, both in terms of cut and color, this sneaker will be our best ally. Straight inspired by the 70s, this model has a sleek look. Its monochrome sail color is ultra trendy! It brings this note of elegance which characterizes it. Its strength is also found in the quality materials that are used to make it: suede leather from an Italian tannery, Margom soles, all made in Italy.
Let’s stay in monochrome with the Reef from Schmoove . A sneaker in the spirit of the brand thanks to its refined finishes and its chalk-colored leather. It still has some very subtle little touches of originality. In particular on the tongue with a yoke where the name of the brand is inscribed in capital letters. The originality is also found in the simplicity, and it is not easy that! But the tone-on-tone color between the upper of the sole makes the pair unique and very aesthetic! Made in Portugal, the Reef is perfect for dark-colored costumes like navy blue for example.
Here is a brand that I have already tested during a duo shoot : Pied de Biche ! Here, the Billy model is a beautiful casual chic model ! The smooth, white, cowhide leather upper gives our feet a perfect shape. The yoke gray goat suede at the heel breaks this whiteness and brings freshness. The inside of the shoe, also in cowhide leather, can subtly add a touch of color if we wear our suit pants with a 7 / 8th cut to show our ankles and this beautiful caramel color.
Ascot x Charlie
Having already tested the Soho Frost from Ascot x Charlie , and having appreciated the model, I felt compelled to select it for this subject. Entirely made of nappa leather and placed on a Margom sole, thanks to a Strobel assembly, the Soho is a quality sneaker ! It’s a durable and timeless essential that we’ll wear with any type of costume. Its white upper mixed with gray suede overlays give the shoe elegance. We can now find it in the brand’s store: 11 rue Debelleyme in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris !
A short week after writing the news on In Corio and their model Maxime , I had to give the latter a nod again. Indeed, this perforated sneaker has its place in this selection. Worn with a suit for a chic casual look, the Maxime is elegant both in shape and color. The bootie finishes of this sneaker go perfectly with the suit / sneakers combination. In addition to that, they are comfortable and durable thanks to a Strobel construction and a high density latex sole. Breathable, thanks to the perforations, they will be perfect for our costume parties this summer!
Basketball inspired by the great Canadian cold! Mentioned in a news , the Kelwood from OTA goes very well with a costume. It has a minimalist style associated with a touch of color on the outside of the shoe thanks to the “T”. 100% cowhide leather, the upper is placed on a sole made from recycled tires! This is the hallmark of On The Asphalt. The GPS coordinates present on the heel, recall the journey that was made for the Kelwood to be born. Available in 4 different colors, it can match all our costumes, whether for going to the office or for a more festive occasion!
Minimalism in its purest form! The Royal from Jak ‘is inspired by very minimalist luxury sneakers . Monochrome beige in color, they are the brand’s first achievement. The constituent materials are of good quality: full-grain calfskin leather, rubber sole, cotton laces and carrying bag cotton also. As you can see, its unique color will match all of our costumes. Its rounded appearance and the impression that the shoe is made of a single piece, brings elegance and modernity to this sneaker .
We couldn’t make this selection without evoking a classic: an all-white sneaker ! The Mirabeau from Orban’s . I don’t need to say that no matter the color of the suit, this sneaker will fit perfectly. Its neat line and tone-on-tone layering is very pleasing to the eye. Made in Spain, the leather is of European origin. The brown interior is perfect to be worn once again with our 7/8 suit trousers. Priced at 80 €, they are affordable for all budgets and allow us to finish our outfit without breaking the bank!
The Sahara from Panafrica is surely the most original of this selection. More classic than the Arusha that I tested a few weeks ago, the Sahara has a shape much more suitable for a suit. Its white, full-grain leather upper goes very well with the cream-colored rubber sole. This sole echoes the laces to offer a very interesting reminder. The touch of originality is found at the wax tongue and its colorful print. The burgundy, present on the heel and on the small outer yoke, breaks the white to a minimum and allows us to match this sneaker to a suit of the same color! But it also works great with a blue suit.
